Riding Lessons Offering instruction in Western Pleasure, English Pleasure and Introduction to Fences, including halter, showmanship, and equitation. Appointments are booked on a half hour or full hour basis.
Private = 1 student Semi = 2-3 students Group = 4+ students Lessons are payable monthly at the first lesson of the month. All novice riders are started with private lessons on a longe line until we both feel confident that you have a full command of the basics. For some this may be a handful of lessons, for others it may take a bit longer. We will go at your pace. One hour lessons are recommended for all new riders, which will include hands-on learning with grooming and tacking your horse. Along the way you will learn about safety protocols, horse anatomy and how to use and care for tack, and so much more. I emphasize a solid, balanced seat and help you learn that the way you use your body affects your horse and ride, either positively or negatively. I present a team-based approach to developing a relationship with the horse to promote a strong bond. You will learn how to read your horse and make the necessary adjustments to ensure a safe and enjoyable ride. As you gain more experience and are able to prepare your horse independently, you will be expected to arrive early for your lesson with enough time to groom, tack-up and warm-up before your lesson. You will then be eligible to participate in semi-private or group lessons. If you have specific concerns or goals, we can work together to create a customized program to meet your needs.

All participants are required to sign a Release Form prior to riding. Forms are available at the farm, or you may print this form in advance and bring it with you to your first lesson.
